Responsibilities
- Analyzes complex business issues by incorporating company and industry knowledge, mathematical and technological expertise, and sound analytical processes. Provides statistical analysis, modeling, and other quantitive techniques that are often used to answer business questions, identify issues and/or recommend courses of action in the course of analysis for Asset Liabilities.
- Build, analyze and present reports of quantitative and qualitative data produced both internally and externally to the company. Ensures accuracy and appropriate report design. Responsible for resolution to reporting issues as they arise. Provide detailed and complete understanding of drivers that influence business performance.
- Design and develop financial and statistical models to value and access risk around a wide range of complex derivatives, as well as the balance sheet of the company.
- Presents results of analysis and/or recommendations to business managers, utility partners, and at time external parties. Communicate action plans and priorities to appropriate partners.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis and modeling, with associated technolgy applications.
- Strong relationship and communication skills in working with colleagues, as well as inflencing customers on recommendations and analysis results.
- In-depth knowledge of business operations and processes with ability to articulate these processes to others. Basic quantitative metrics.
- 3 years quantitative analysis experience
- Graduate level degree in a quantitiative discipline.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to perform analysis of all daily and non-daily Ameriprise Financial Treasury Operations activities including but not limited to public company Treasury functions such as daily cash management, banking operations, treasury centralization, bank relationship management and scorecarding, bank pricing re-negotiation, bank account governance, cash forecasting, credit facility administration, internal revolving credit agreements, share repurchase mechanics and all mobilization efforts and business unit projects to optimize cash flow, efficiency, compliance and control. In addition, incumbent will work with Treasury Manager(s) in evaluating technical and analytical projects to streamline banking structure and daily operations, enhance the use of Treasury management system technology, participate in cross-functional Finance projects as necessary and serve as a Treasury Representative within the company as appropriate. Performs special requests as directed from the Treasury Manager(s), Director(s) and/or VP of Treasury Operations as well as other individuals, departments or business units in solving Treasury-related issues.

Knowledge of cash flow theory, cash management, custody and/or banking operations preferred. Assists in developing and performing according to personal goals, objectives and annual accountabilities.
Qualifications
The Treasury function operates in a highly complex, regulated environment where processes, technologies and risk factors constantly evolve. This role calls for highly evolved analytical skills due to the complexity of the daily work as well as interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal business partners. Additional requirements include:
Education: Bachelor¿s degree in Finance, Business Administration or other related course of study or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Professional with 2-3 years experience exhibiting stronger analytical positions throughout. Experience with processing of financial transactions, cash forecasting and positioning and all related terminology preferred. Working knowledge of Treasury Workstations is beneficial.
Must possess advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access and Word) and Lotus Notes.
Attention to detail and deadline oriented is a must.
Requires strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to deal effectively with internal business partners.
