AAC Sales Managers have direct interaction with clients on a daily basis, building relationships through sales and service to clients on escalated and/or complex situations. The role also indirectly influences client interactions through coaching and monitoring of Advisor sales activities.<br/><br/>Additional duties for this role include developing and enhancing business partnerships with colleagues from within the AAC as well as those across Ameriprise. The AAC Sales Manager leverages these partnerships to utilize best practices and business processing functionality and to influence business approaches beyond the AAC, providing a vehicle to test and or implement new/enhanced functionality on a smaller, more manageable scale.<br/><br/>- Leadership:  demonstrate behaviors and competencies indicative of an Ameriprise Sales Manager; ensuring compliance, brand standards, client service and satisfaction are met.  Ensures a positive environment for all advisors and staff.<br/><br/>- Sales Results:  create vision and plan to lead a team of Advisors to generate sales results, while best serving the needs of our clients.  Responsibilities include - mentoring, coaching, compliance oversight, performance reviews for assigned Advisors, including managing all aspects of performance management and improvement.<br/><br/>- Development and Training:  drive drill-for-skill; fulfill training and development needs for advisor training program, professional and personal development of team.<br/><br/>- Recruiting & Selection:  participate in the recruiting and selection process for new advisors includes interviewing and partnering closely with Talent Acquisition.  May also participate in other recruiting efforts for other roles as requested.<br/><br/>- Client work:  meet escalated client needs and/or assist with advanced client case work.<br/><br/>- Other:  the Sales Managers perspective is valued and respected, as such this role will participate in discussions and various activities to improve, evolve and effectively grow the overall AAC business<br/>Qualifications<br/>- 18-24 months financial services sales experience required<br/>- Series 7 and 63 licenses & life insurance licenses required<br/>- In-depth knowledge of Ameriprise financial products and services; demonstrated understanding of the industry and competition<br/>- Demonstrated leadership behaviors including ability to motivate individuals and teams, coach and mentor colleagues, create high energy and confidence in self and others<br/>- Ability to demonstrate and train on all key sales tasks, including initiative to make proactive outbound calls<br/>- Effective consultative sales skills and ability to successfully coach and mentor around these skills<br/>- Strong interpersonal communication skills and persuasive ability<br/>- Sales leadership experience with demonstrated results in successfully coaching sales professionals preferred<br/>- Commitment to diversity and sensitivity to differences among others<br/>- Demonstrated ability to give and receive feedback<br/>- Interviewing skills and experience for recruiting and selection of sales professionals, preferred.<br/>- Demonstrated track record of following compliance policies, principles, and procedures; must have good compliance standing<br/><br/>JCODE:23269<br/>JCODE:23918]]></description>
