<span  class='PSLONGEDITBOX' >This position is responsible for the design, development and implementation of training, coaching and overall development solutions to meet the Ameriprise Advisor Center (AAC) organizational needs.  This role is focused on developing and delivering training solutions using a defined, approach and methodology; including developing training materials and participating in ongoing needs assessment activities.    The training curriculum will include financial advisor sales strategies, sales processes/procedures, technology, in depth product and service components, along with compliance & regulatory requirements, etc.  This position will focus on both ongoing training and coaching of financial advisors in the aforementioned areas; including providing back-up for the implementation and delivery of training to new financial advisors hired into the AAC as required based on hiring needs..   
<br />
<br />Includes:
<br />
<br />- Conducting and facilitating training sessions through classroom, web-based, or self-paced delivery methods.  Drives desired behavior change  in financial advisors through skill development sessions and/or individual coaching to validate effectiveness of training and to ensure achievement of business objectives.
<br />
<br />- Providing subject matter expertise to help develop and create implementation plans for training programs and supporting materials to secure a successful implementation; utilizing existing resources as appropriate (Ameriprise University, RiverSource University, Organizational Effectiveness and Develompent, etc.). Ensures that existing programs and tools are effectively implemented within the business and desired objectives are achieved.

<br />- Designing training programs based on outcomes from training needs assessment.  Identifies the appropriate training method -- e-learning, instructor-led, or blended approaches -- to achieve the desired organizational impact.  Partners with others on the team to create training materials such as curriculum outlines, and user/facilitator guides and other instructional design systems, as necessary.  
<br />
<br />- Assists in the day-to-day project work associated with training initiatives that may include vendor interaction, reporting, project stakeholder engagement and content reviews with subject matter experts in other lines of business.
<br />
<br />-  Facilitating sessions with stakeholders to determine whether existing or newly-developed training will address businessneeds.  Develop tools and survey instruments which assist in identifying training needs and report assessment outcomes to project stakeholders.  Utilizes the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) to ensure that the training initiatives achieve the desired outcome.</span>

<br />- Experience in delivering training to large groups in an effective manner
<br />- Demonstrated excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
<br />- Independent self-starter with ability to create strong relationships with clients and business partners
<br />- Strong project management skills
<br />- Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly growing department with a high level of change.

Review of communications with the public including email and paper correspondence.  Raise issues and concerns when appropriate and ensure matters are escalated to the right areas of supervision.

<br />- Analyze and organize outgoing requests and incoming receipt of field documentation including maintaining tracking system for incoming field information. Includes monitoring mailbox for incoming documentation from advisors, review of and determination of next steps. 
<br />- Complete initial review of outgoing communications from advisors to clients in accordance with NASD Rule 2210 through email review tool (Digital Supervisor) to determine whether further supervision action is necessary. 
<br />- Complete initial review of 529 plan beneficiary changes to determine supervisory need.
<br />- Record all pertinent information into 529 supervision database and escalate as appropriate to corporate RP. 
<br />- Maintain appropriate Office of Supervison Jurisdiction (OSJ) files for each advisor. Respond to questions from field leaders, advisors and clients that have called one of our toll-free lines and could not reach the Corporate RP. Escalate to other members of the CSU as needed</span>

Coordinate with other Divisional Director of Sales (through VP of National Sales) on delivering consistent programming and best practices across market groups with regard to client acquisition, financial planning, and sales strategies.  Coordinate third party and corporate resources for local events, education days, etc. to increase percentage of HV clients with ongoing planning relationships, HVCA, and ensure increased in book of business.  Deploy sales strategies to leaders and advisors at the local level. Drive attendance and engagement at Ameriprise a.m. calls. Coordinate with product wholesaler activities.  Partner with Branch Office Manager/ FFVP to develop market group level plans for HVCA, financial planning, and sales strategies uptake.</span>

<br />-Drive profitable growth and results for own branch through prudent expense management (P&L) and investments in key business strategies. Provide targeted focus and resources on opportunities with highest potential. Lead and work with Complex Director or Regional Vice President to develop ongoing business planning and development for branch through both organic and inorganic strategies. Develop local programs to support client acquisition-leveraging corporate support.

<br />-Responsible for supervision of all sales activities of registered personnel assigned to him/her; ensure sales activities are appropriate based on client objectives, goals, risk tolerance, etc. and adequate disclosure was provided. Ensure employees fulfill applicable licensing, registration and compliance requirements; adhere to firm's policies and procedures and conduct business in an ethical manner; maintain records in accordance with FINRA, NYSE and other applicable regulations.
<br />
<br />-Coordinate advisor development opportunities leveraging all available resources to improve client acquisition, financial planning and product implementation skills. Develop understanding of advisors' strengths and weaknesses and create individualized growth plans that support client acquisition, asset gathering and product implementation. Identify high performing talent and create a leader succession plan. Line of site to external environment and strong awareness of local and national competitors.

<br />-Develop localized recruiting strategy (including Experienced Advisor Recruit, practice acquisition and Targeted Career Changers) based on in-depth region knowledge, market conditions and performance of the competition. Build centers of influence through FPA, community involvement. Develop and support onboarding for candidates. Develop site's unique value proposition and articulate to candidates.

<br />-Drive profitable growth and results for own branch through prudent expense management (P&L) and investments in key business strategies. Provide targeted focus and resources on opportunities with highest potential. Lead and work with Complex Director or Regional Vice President to develop ongoing business planning and development for branch through both organic and inorganic strategies. Develop local programs to support client acquisition-leveraging corporate support.

<br />-Responsible for supervision of all sales activities of registered personnel assigned to him/her; ensure sales activities are appropriate based on client objectives, goals, risk tolerance, etc. and adequate disclosure was provided. Ensure employees fulfill applicable licensing, registration and compliance requirements; adhere to firm's policies and procedures and conduct business in an ethical manner; maintain records in accordance with FINRA, NYSE and other applicable regulations.

<br />-Coordinate advisor development opportunities leveraging all available resources to improve client acquisition, financial planning and product implementation skills. Develop understanding of advisors' strengths and weaknesses and create individualized growth plans that support client acquisition, asset gathering and product implementation. Identify high performing talent and create a leader succession plan. Line of site to external environment and strong awareness of local and national competitors.

<br />-Provide second level of supervision and/or approval for complex annuity transactions and escalated issues including advisor disagreements, reversal of trades and/or fees. 
<br />-Serve as subject matter expert providing information and/or research to other CSU RPs and business partners including Compliance cases.
<br />-Communicate with advisors and field leaders regarding results of supervisory activity including one-on-one training.
<br />-Communicate with clients regarding activity to determine suitability.</span>
