Become a technical expert on the AdminServer system and participate in design oversight of AdminServer and other vendor partner configuration. Contribute to building out the Ameriprise AdminServer Configuration practice through partnership with Technology, Business and Vendors.

<br />Technical Management 
<br />-Understands technical standards and architectural design requirements. 
<br />-Understands interfaces from application to application across the enterprise. 
<br />-Serves as a focal point for integration of technology within and across capability domains. 
<br />-Ensure bundle deliverables meet expectations regarding cost, schedule and scope. 
<br /> -Ensure bundle deliverables are aligned with POA architectural standards and deploy the appropriate reuse of common objects. 
<br />-Participates in the development of requirements and estimates from a technical perspective. 
<br />-Anticipate and promote technical uplift initiatives (upgrades, re-platform, etc). 
<br />
<br />Vendor Management 
<br />-Educates vendor(s) on changes to technical standards and architectural requirements. 
<br />-Ensures vendor solutions meet technical standards, design and performance requirements. 
<br />-Actively participates in design walkthroughs with the vendor(s). 
<br />-Provide quality assurance on vendor deliverables to avoid impacts on existing applications and/or business processes. 
<br />-Establishes a strong working relationship with vendor(s) through manufacturing phases of development. 
<br />
<br />Relationship Management 
<br />-Support Capability Domain Director in the development of strategic initiatives. 
<br />-For business critical initiatives, leads the technical design development efforts with vendor support. 
<br />-For production support, oversees the problem management process from a technical perspective and serves as a consultant to the vendor(s) for business critical issues.</span>

<span  class='PSLONGEDITBOX' >This position is responsible for the design, development and implementation of training, coaching and overall development solutions to meet the Ameriprise Advisor Center (AAC) organizational needs.  This role is focused on developing and delivering training solutions using a defined, approach and methodology; including developing training materials and participating in ongoing needs assessment activities.    The training curriculum will include financial advisor sales strategies, sales processes/procedures, technology, in depth product and service components, along with compliance & regulatory requirements, etc.  This position will focus on both ongoing training and coaching of financial advisors in the aforementioned areas; including providing back-up for the implementation and delivery of training to new financial advisors hired into the AAC as required based on hiring needs..

<br />Includes:
<br />
<br />- Conducting and facilitating training sessions through classroom, web-based, or self-paced delivery methods.  Drives desired behavior change  in financial advisors through skill development sessions and/or individual coaching to validate effectiveness of training and to ensure achievement of business objectives.
<br />
<br />- Providing subject matter expertise to help develop and create implementation plans for training programs and supporting materials to secure a successful implementation; utilizing existing resources as appropriate (Ameriprise University, RiverSource University, Organizational Effectiveness and Develompent, etc.). Ensures that existing programs and tools are effectively implemented within the business and desired objectives are achieved.

<br />- Designing training programs based on outcomes from training needs assessment.  Identifies the appropriate training method -- e-learning, instructor-led, or blended approaches -- to achieve the desired organizational impact.  Partners with others on the team to create training materials such as curriculum outlines, and user/facilitator guides and other instructional design systems, as necessary.  
<br />
<br />- Assists in the day-to-day project work associated with training initiatives that may include vendor interaction, reporting, project stakeholder engagement and content reviews with subject matter experts in other lines of business.
<br />
<br />-  Facilitating sessions with stakeholders to determine whether existing or newly-developed training will address businessneeds.  Develop tools and survey instruments which assist in identifying training needs and report assessment outcomes to project stakeholders.  Utilizes the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) to ensure that the training initiatives achieve the desired outcome.</span>

<br />The role of the Portfolio Architect is to plan and design IT capabilities that are efficient, stable, resilient, secure, and aligned with Ameriprise Financial technology strategies and standards. The Portfolio Architect is a member of the Leader Architect community, which requires a focus on delivery that is balanced with the long-term goals of the enterprise. Specific responsibilities include:
<br />- Defines the As-Is and To-Be architectures of the portfolio. Assesses gaps and creates associated migration plan.
<br />- Leads the creation of solutions that maintain clear business benefit and stay on the evolutionary path to the To-Be architecture. 
<br />- Documents, reviews, and approves architecture decisions.
<br />- Provides guidance to project architects on design and technology decisions.
<br />- Conducts asset health assessments.
<br />- Mentors and develops Project Architects. 
<br />- Provides project teams with conceptual designs that bound project-level designs.
<br />- Participates in enterprise, portfolio and project level governance activities.
<br />- Learns about new products and technologies and partners with others to determine potential capabilities and optimization opportunities.
<br />- Collaborates with other Portfolio Architects, especially where the portfolio strategy/roadmap has cross-organizational impact.</span>

<span  class='PSLONGEDITBOX' >The Director will report to the Vice President, Field Compliance Oversight, and will lead the Field Inspections Unit.  This unit is responsible for performing field inspections on behalf of the broker/dealer as required under NASD Rule 3010.  This unit designs, implements, and executes broker/dealer field inspections of registered OSJ's and branch offices to assess compliance with industry rules and company policy, as well as the effectiveness of supervisory policy and execution.  Three Compliance Managers and one Trending and Reporting Manager will report to this Director position.  Approximately 25 Compliance Examiners comprise the staff, reporting to the Compliance Managers.

<br />In conjunction with the field inspection work, the successful candidate will be responsible for fostering interdepartmental collaboration and communication both with other compliance units as well as various business units of the broker/dealer.  Management of robust trending and inspection results reporting is necessary to proactively manage and mitigate risks identified through the inspection process.  Presentations to senior-level corporate and field leaders will be part of this role.</span>

<span  class='PSLONGEDITBOX' >Provides coaching and training on client acquisition, financial planning, and sales strategies for field leaders and advisors. Primary metrics will be HVCA, and percent of HVCA in a planning relationship.   Provide coaching and training on overall HVCA techniques financial planning, and sales strategies capabilities in 'train the trainer' capacity for field leaders (Branch Office Managers and Field Vice Presidents). Train advisors and leaders on consultative sales skills. Provide group face to face coaching and training to advisors on client acquisition techniques, financial planning and sales strategies.  Coordinate with other Divisional Director of Sales (through VP of National Sales) on delivering consistent programming and best practices across market groups with regard to client acquisition, financial planning, and sales strategies.  Coordinate third party and corporate resources for local events, education days, etc. to increase percentage of HV clients with ongoing planning relationships, HVCA, and ensure increased in book of business.  Deploy sales strategies to leaders and advisors at the local level. Drive attendance and engagement at Ameriprise a.m. calls. Coordinate with product wholesaler activities.  Partner with Branch Office Manager/ FFVP to develop market group level plans for HVCA, financial planning, and sales strategies uptake.</span>

<span  class='PSLONGEDITBOX' >Demonstrated experience with leading field implementation initiatives. Experience working successfully with sales force members.  Ability to influence advisor and field leader behavior.  Strong communication, coaching, training and general presentation skills.  Self driven and self accountable.  Ability to drive results on a remote basis.  Outstanding relationship management, negotiation and collaborating/influencing skills in dealing with all levels through various communications channels.  College degree or equivalent required (MBA in Marketing or Communications preferred) and 5+ years relevant experience required. FINRA Series 7, 63/66, 65/66, State licensing may be required.
