Responsibilities
Analyst will: Participate on the ITASCA program continuing the implementing a new Ins & Annuity Policy Administration system. Become a technical expert on the AdminServer system and participate in design oversight of AdminServer and other vendor partner configuration. Contribute to building out the Ameriprise AdminServer Configuration practice through partnership with Technology, Business and Vendors.

Technical Management
-Understands technical standards and architectural design requirements.
-Understands interfaces from application to application across the enterprise.
-Serves as a focal point for integration of technology within and across capability domains.
-Ensure bundle deliverables meet expectations regarding cost, schedule and scope.
-Ensure bundle deliverables are aligned with POA architectural standards and deploy the appropriate reuse of common objects.
-Participates in the development of requirements and estimates from a technical perspective.
-Anticipate and promote technical uplift initiatives (upgrades, re-platform, etc).

Vendor Management
-Educates vendor(s) on changes to technical standards and architectural requirements.
-Ensures vendor solutions meet technical standards, design and performance requirements.
-Actively participates in design walkthroughs with the vendor(s).
-Provide quality assurance on vendor deliverables to avoid impacts on existing applications and/or business processes.
-Establishes a strong working relationship with vendor(s) through manufacturing phases of development.

Relationship Management
-Support Capability Domain Director in the development of strategic initiatives.
-For business critical initiatives, leads the technical design development efforts with vendor support.
-For production support, oversees the problem management process from a technical perspective and serves as a consultant to the vendor(s) for business critical issues.
Qualifications
-5+ years experience in software application design, development and support; including a minimum of 3 years coding experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and mentoring skills.
-Prefer experience in Insurance and Annuity systems.
-Prefer experience in distributed and web environments including SQL, Java, XML, XSLT, Webssphere, Web Service (SOAP), UDB, Distributed systems support tools
-Prefer level 4/5 experience in AdminServer Configuration.
